Due to winter weather, the start date for this project has been rescheduled. Work, which was to begin Monday, March 3, will begin Monday, March 10.

Grand Blanc Road bridge work over I-75 scheduled
COUNTY: Genesee
HIGHWAY: I-75
CLOSEST CITY: Grand Blanc
START DATE: Monday, March 10, 2014
ESTIMATED END DATE: June 2014 (Grand Blanc Road bridge)
PROJECT DETAILS: Wide-ranging I-75 construction begins on the Grand Blanc Road bridge next week. Bridge work includes joint replacement, deck patching and sealing, and painting. This work is weather-dependent.
Additional construction, expected to begin in late April, includes resurfacing 19 miles from the Genesee/Oakland county line to the I-475 north junction, including I-75 over Cook Road, Flushing Road and the Flint River, and I-75 under Grand Blanc and Fenton roads.
All work is expected to be complete by October.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: - I-75: Daytime single-lane closures and nighttime double-lane closures under Grand Blanc Road.
- Grand Blanc Road: One lane closed in each direction with traffic maintained under a temporary signal.
