Give the gift of Pure Michigan memories with DNR gift cards
Looking for a gift that’s always the perfect color, fit and value for everyone on your shopping list? This holiday season, give the gift of lifelong memories with Michigan DNR gift cards and e-gift cards that can be used at state parks, campgrounds and harbors.
Both physical gift cards and e-gift cards provide a simple, unique and lasting gift for outdoor enthusiasts, making it easy for them to enjoy a camping trip or a special day at a beautiful Great Lakes state harbor. These cards can be redeemed at all state park, state forest and state harbor retail facilities for merchandise, rentals, overnight stays and other associated fees.
“Gift cards are a convenient, cost-effective way to share Michigan’s great outdoors with friends and family,” said Jason Fleming, chief of the DNR Parks and Recreation Division’s Resource Management Section. “The two options allow customers a choice in how they wish to give. Some may prefer the ease of an e-gift card, while others may like the physical card which can be reloaded and used beyond the initial amount purchased.”
Physical gift cards are reloadable, do not expire, can be “locked” if lost or stolen and can transfer balances to other cards. These physical cards can be purchased at state parks or by calling the DNR at 517-284-6110 or 517-284-6084. Phone orders for the plastic gift cards will incur a $3 (per total order, not per card) shipping and handling charge. Plastic gift cards can be registered online at www.midnrreservations.com.
E-gift cards can be purchased online at www.midnrreservations.com for any whole dollar amount after a $5 first-time minimum has been met, and the cards are reloadable with a maximum balance of $500. The card is emailed directly to the recipient. Purchasers of e-gift cards will be able to print a "giftable" certificate.
For more information about DNR gift cards, please contact Jason Fleming at 517-284-6098.

A Recreation Passport is required for any motor vehicle entering a Michigan state park, boat launch, state forest campground or nonmotorized state trailhead parking. Residents can purchase the Passport for just $11 ($5 for motorcycles) at the time of Michigan license plate renewal through Secretary of State. Forgot to check “YES” during renewal? Residents and nonresidents can purchase a Recreation Passport window sticker during regular business hours at state parks. Learn more about how the Recreation Passport supports state parks and local outdoor recreation opportunities at www.michigan.gov/recreationpassport.
