Young hunters, ages 16 and under, will once again have the opportunity to get a free junior hunting license at all Meijer stores in Michigan on Sept. 13 and 14.

Youths must be accompanied by an adult, and should print out and bring the free junior hunting license coupon to the store's sporting goods department. The coupon is valid for any junior hunting license or mentored youth hunting license.

Meijer, Inc. – which has offered free junior hunting licenses to Michigan residents since 2008 – was honored as a Partner in Conservation by the Natural Resources Commission last year for its support of programs aimed at getting Michigan residents outdoors.
