Successful year so far for all three Pure Michigan Hunt winners

Pure Michigan Hunt winner Eurich with harvested bearEvery year, three lucky Pure Michigan Hunt winners get to live out their dreams by pursuing elk, bear, deer, turkey and ducks in Michigan's great outdoors.

This year has been filled with success for all three winners – Jason Eurich of Saginaw, Mike Sikkenga of Whitehall and Mike DiLorenzo of Rochester.

Eurich and DiLorenzo both were successful in harvesting turkeys during the spring season, and all three Pure Michigan Hunt winners were successful during their September elk hunts.

DiLorenzo bagged a huge 6x6 elk, and Sikkenga harvested a 7x7 bull elk. Check out the video of Mike Sikkenga’s elk hunt, recorded by Brian Bouwkamp, at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLxJMDwqimA.

Eurich also was successful during his elk hunt when he harvested a 7x7 bull elk. Additionally, he bagged a 300-plus-pound Upper Peninsula black bear and a beautiful fall turkey.

For hunters who dream of experiences like these, there is still plenty of time for the chance to make 2016 the hunt of their lifetime by applying for the Pure Michigan Hunt.

Along with the hunting licenses, each winner will receive a hunting prize package valued at more than $4,000. Visit mi.gov/puremichiganhunt for more information and to purchase Pure Michigan Hunt applications.

Pure Michigan Hunt winners have the flexibility to hunt in many different locations throughout the state and to pick and choose hunt areas and times so they are able to fit these hunts into their lives. They also have the option to transfer a license to someone else.
