Metallic Minerals Lease Request - Public Comment Period Extended

Public Comment Period for Metallic Minerals Lease requested in Marquette County

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has extended the public comment period for the following Metallic Minerals Lease request to allow members of the public additional time to review the request:

Eagle Mine LLC, of Champion, Michigan, has requested a direct, development, metallic minerals lease from the State of Michigan covering Department of Natural Resources (DNR) mineral rights located Michigamme Township, Marquette County, Michigan, containing a total of 40 acres, more or less, further described as:

NE1/4 NE1/4, Section 8, T50N,R29W

Input from members of the public is vital to making well-informed decisions regarding the management of the natural resources. Written comments from interested parties, relative to the request to lease the specified mineral rights, may be submitted by September 25, 2015 to Karen Maidlow, Property Specialist, Office of Minerals Management, DNR, P.O. Box 30452, Lansing, Michigan 48909-7952 or MaidlowK@Michigan.gov.
