5th Annual AIPG Michigan Section
Technical Workshop - Site Characterization
Ralph
A. MacMullen Conference Center, Roscommon
Save the date! The Michigan
Section of the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) is
celebrating its 5th year of providing quality, technical information and case
studies in a forum that focuses on bringing together topic expertise from
consulting, regulatory, academic, and owner perspectives in the environmental
field. The 5th
Annual Workshop promises to provide the same high quality technical
presentations and will focus on the theme of “Site Characterization.” Site
Characterization is the foundation for implementing remedial efforts and
managing risks associated with releases of hazardous substances. Most
remedial efforts fail because of inadequate site characterization. How
can you implement a remedy and be successful if you do not understand what you
are trying to remedy? The format
for the conference includes case studies for sites that emphasize site
characterization, conceptual site models, and techniques used for investigating
releases of hazardous substances as well as updates on amendments to the
Environmental Remediation regulations. For more information, go to http://mi.aipg.org/workshop/workshop.htm.
