Community Colleges and the CareerCenters Partner to Assist Veterans
The Tri-County CareerCenter’s veterans services staff arranged a meeting with Eastern Maine Community College to gather more information on the community college’s programs appropriate for the new Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP).  After learning about the programs available to eligible veterans through the Community College system, the veterans services staff facilitated the inclusion of EMCC representatives on the agenda for the Statewide Veterans Team meeting in Augusta. That meeting will be held next week on July 10. At the meeting, EMCC staff will update the entire Veterans Team on the opportunities the Community College System can offer VRAP-eligible veterans.
