In accordance with Section 303(d) of the Clean Water Act, and implementation regulations in 40 CFR Part 130, The Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is requesting public comment on the "Vision for Assessment, Restoration, and Protection of Maine's Water Resources," dated December 2015. This document sets out a long term vision for addressing impaired waters under the Department's Clean Water Act, Section 303(d) program. The public is invited to submit comments in writing to Melissa Evers, at melissa.evers@maine.gov or by fax to 207-287-7826, or by mail to Melissa Evers, Maine DEP, 17 State House Station, Augusta, ME 04033-0017. Comments may also be presented in person at a public comment opportunity on January 19, 1:00 p.m. at the DEP Response Training Room, 4 Blossom Lane Augusta, Maine. All comments must be received by 5:00 p.m. January 29, 2016.
