“I am saddened to learn of the passing of Del. James E. Proctor, Jr. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of this amazing Prince Georgian who contributed so much to our community.

I served in the House of Delegates and on the Appropriations Committee with Del. Proctor and was honored to look up and learn from him. He was a man of great character and convictions. His dedication and energy to public education and our children as both an educator and as an elected official helped make Maryland one of the best in the nation in prioritizing education funding.

Prince George’s County is a better place because of James Proctor, we will miss him. His advocacy on behalf of this County will be a lasting legacy here and throughout this State for years to come.”
