Catholic Charities Training Event is Urgent Call to Local Legal Community to Provide Pro Bono Support

Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett, Delegate Ana Sol Gutierrez, County Council President George Leventhal and Councilmember Nancy Navarro will join Rev. Msgr. John J. Enzler, president and CEO of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington, Gustavo Torres, executive director of CASA de Maryland and representatives of Children Fleeing Violence legal workgroup, in reaching out to local attorneys to participate in a pro bono program that provides representation of unaccompanied minors in Montgomery County.
According to the Office of Refugee Resettlement, there are approximately 1,200 unaccompanied minors living in Montgomery County.
