CUPF received thousands of reservation requests for use of indoor facilities from April 1 - August 31 during the priority scheduling submission window that ended February 1. Staff has begun processing requests and will issue permits upon approval---we anticipate that all requests received by the February 1 deadline will be confirmed or denied no later than February 29. Notification emails will be sent to applicants as soon as requests are approved.
Staff will process requests received after February 1, in the order that they were received, after processing all requests received during the priority scheduling submission window.
CUPF is migrating to a new web-based reservation software, ActiveMONTGOMERY, that will enable customers to submit facility reservation requests for schools, athletic fields and County buildings. Customers can also conveniently use ActiveMONTGOMERY to register for activities and check the availability of facilities offered by Montgomery County Recreation and Montgomery Parks.
Athletic Fields
Beginning February 16, 2016, customers may check availability and reserve time at the following County athletic fields during the Spring/Summer season (March 15 – August 15) through ActiveMONTGOMERY, a new web-based reservation software.
1. MCPS Elementary and Middle Schools 2. M-NCPPC Local Parks 3. MCRD Community Recreation Centers
Please note that field time at many sites is assigned directly to sports leagues and organizations. CUPF recommends that you contact your organization directly with any practice or game field needs before submitting a facility reservation request via ActiveMONTGOMERY.

MCPS Indoor Facilities
Beginning August 1, 2016, all requests for use of MCPS indoor facilities must be submitted via ActiveMONTGOMERY, CUPF’s new self-service, cloud-based software. Features of the new reservation system will include:
1. Ability to see what is available online 2. Ability to secure available space online (self-service) 3. Final confirmation of permits within three business days (excludes large events) 4. Elimination of bi-annual submission windows 5. Elimination of 4-6 week waiting period for permit approval 6. Ability to book space for the entire school year instead of only six months at a time 7. Monthly payment plans (with credit card information saved online) 8. Additional online payment methods
Please note that historical use will be limited to sports leagues, summer camps, large community events in auditoriums, etc. and other high volume use. Space for all other community use activities will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, allowing CUPF to implement the benefits listed above.
Large events (multiple-room events, auditorium use, tournaments, etc.) may not be booked via the self-service reservation module. More information will be coming soon about the new process, including submission deadlines.
To prepare for these changes, we encourage all user groups to create your ActiveMONTGOMERY account now by clicking on the link!
CUPF will hold public forums on the following dates to provide an overview of changes to CUPF processes, deadline dates, etc., as well as to provide community user groups the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.
