Weekend Road Closures

 

 

Donate Life Family Fun Run

 

 

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications in effect for the Donate Life Family Fun Run. The event will be held this Saturday, September 27, 2014 starting at 8:30 a.m.

 

The race will start on W. Hamburg Street adjacent to the Johnny Unitas statue. Participants will head west on Hamburg Street, left on the southbound Russell Street service drive, right on West Street and left on S. Paca Street. The run proceeds right on W. Ostend Street, left on W. Hamburg Street, left on Bush Street, left on Wicomico Street and right back onto Ostend Street. Participants will take the northbound Russell Street service drive and turn right on Hamburg Street, right on Leadenhall Street, left on W. Cross Street, left on Hanover Street, right on W. Hamburg Street, left on S. Charles Street, right on Henrietta Street, left on Hanover Street, right on Hamburg Street to finish at the Unitas statue.  

 

During the event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible. Commuters should be aware that temporary traffic stops may be implemented along the race route during the event for the safety of participants.

 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and changing traffic patterns, and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

 

Marian House Race to Embrace Independence 5K Run

 

Temporary lane closures will be in effect for the Marion House Race to Embrace Independence 5K which will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 beginning at 9:00 a.m.   The event will start and end at Lake Montebello.

 

Participants will begin the run/walk at Lake Montebello, then head west on E. 33rd Street, left on Ellerslie Avenue, left on Gorsuch Avenue and left on Loch Raven Boulevard. Runners will then make a right back onto E. 33rd Street to finish at Lake Montebello.

 

In preparation for the event, lane closures will be in effect along the course route wherever possible. During the event, temporary traffic stops may be implemented for the safety of participants. Motorists may encounter delays and are encouraged to exercise patience while driving.

 

 

Liberty Heights Avenue Temporary Closure

 

This Saturday, a portion of eastbound Liberty Heights Avenue will be closed for forestry work. On Saturday, September 27, 2014 eastbound Liberty Heights Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Druid Park Drive and Tioga Parkway from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with detours in effect.

 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

 

Baltimore Street Crane Lift

 

This Saturday, a portion of Baltimore Street will be closed for a crane lift operation. On Saturday, September 27, 2014 Baltimore Street will be closed to through traffic between Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Greene Street from 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
