The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications in effect for the Mercy Foot & Ankle Run to Remember 5K/1 Mile Walk to commemorate the lives of those lost on September 11, 2001. The event will begin on Pratt Street in front of the World Trade Center at 8:46 a.m. on Sunday, September 08, 2013.

The 5K course will begin on Pratt Street at the intersection of Commerce Street. Participants will proceed west on Pratt Street in the far left lanes, left onto to Light Street, left on Key Highway, right on Webster Street, and right on E. Randall Street. The course proceeds left on Johnson Street, right on E. Wells Street, right on Light Street and right on E. Fort Avenue. Participants will turn left on Williams Street, right on Warren Ave, and left into Federal Hill Park where they will finish the race.

In preparation for this event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible. Traffic and pedestrians will be allowed to cross through periodic breaks in the race at various intersections throughout the morning. The lane closures should be removed by 12:00 noon.

Commuters should be advised that temporary traffic stops may occur along the race route for the safety of participants.   Motorists traveling in the vicinity of the run should allow additional travel time in anticipation of this event and should be on the watch for pedestrians while traveling in this area.
