Operation of Mopeds 
Rules & Regulations

LMPD recently announced they will be stepping up their enforcement of our city's rules and regulations regarding the usage of MOPEDS.

Two key provisions all moped users should be aware of are:

  • Every person who operates a MOPED upon a public street must be at least 16 years old and must have a valid operator's license.
  • No person shall operate a MOPED or ride on one as passenger without approved protective headgear and an approved protective eye device.

"200 Years on the Ohio" at Riverside, the Farnsley-Moremen Landing THIS Weekend!

Come out to Riverside for "200 Years On the Ohio" on Saturday, September 20 & Sunday, September 21 from 10 am to 5 pm both days. This living history timeline event will feature historical re-enactors demonstrating the clothing, pastimes, foodways, tools and weaponry from various time periods from 1740-1940.

Special highlights will include: an 1860s base ball game between the Cincinnati Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Red Stockings on Sunday, September 21 @ 1:00 PM; presentations by "Mr. Lincoln" portrayed by Dennis Boggs; period fashion shows; a Regency tea, dancing demonstrations and archery demonstrations will also be part of the event.

COST PER DAY: $6/Adults; $5/Seniors; $3/children (ages 6-12); Children 5 and under are FREE. Family Rate: $15 for 2 adults and up to 3 children. Admission includes a tour of the 1837 Farnsley-Moremen House and all activities.
