ANNUAL TOWN HALL MEETING SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2014 9:30AM - 11:30AM


Councilman Brent T. Ackerson will be hosting the annual Town Hall meeting for the 26th District on Saturday morning, October 18, 2014.  The meeting will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the St. Barnabas Cafeteria, 3042 Hikes Lane, Louisville, Kentucky 40220. 

The meeting’s agenda is as follows:

Opening remarks from Councilman Ackerson – 9:30 to 9:45.

An address from Mary Ellen Wiederwohl, Chief of the Louisville Forward division of Louisville Metro Government, along with a Question and Answer period – 9:50 – 10:20.

Break-out into small groups for Q&A with Metro agencies and departments including LMPD, Codes and Regulations, MSD, the Louisville Free Public Library, Metro Animal Services, the Health Department, and many others – 10:30 – 11:30.

The meeting will end at 11:30.

LIHEAP news

LIHEAP Subsidy Begins Nov. 3

Early Registration for Elderly and Disabled Residents Begins Oct. 6th
Louisville Metro Community Action Partnership’s LIHEAP Program (part of Community Services) is a federally funded program that provides financial assistance to help low-income residents pay utility bills. The Subsidy component of LIHEAP will begin Nov. 3, 2014.

Pre-registration opportunities for the Subsidy Program will be offered during October for those residents who are on a fixed income, and who are elderly (age 60 or over) or disabled receiving social security, SSI, pension or Black Lung benefits.
