Congratulations to Kim Salyer who was appointed last week to serve as the new principal at PRP High School. Principal Salyer is the first female to hold this position in the school's history.
Having previously served as assistant principal at PRP and as interim principal for the past several months, she brings a wealth of experience from years spent in the classroom and as counselor.
"Great things are happening at PRP and I'm so excited to be part of that," Salyer said on her new position. "My focus is on maintaining the school's tradition of excellence that is centered on achievement -- academically and otherwise -- as well as connecting with families and our community."
Salyer is a graduate of Doss High School. She started her career as a student teacher and then a math teacher at PRP, before moving to Valley High School as a counselor.
We look forward to working with Principal Salyer as continues the stellar tradition of excellence at PRP.
