Louisville Metro Seal

Louisville Metro Public Works and Assets will be hosting 2 informational meetings regarding safety improvements along South 4th Street from Cardinal Boulevard to Industry Road.  The safety improvements will involve some reconfiguration of the roadway often referred to as road diets.

The meetings will be held at the University of Louisville Student Recreation Center, Room 107; 2030 South 4th Street, Louisville, KY 40208. The meetings will occur, Wednesday August 6th, 2014 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM and Friday August 8th, 2014 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. For more information please visit:

Upcoming "Brightside Bash" to Benefit Beautification Projects

The first annual Brightside Bash will take place Friday, August 8 at Headliners Music Hall, located at 1386 Lexington Road. The event will feature local bands, food and a silent auction.

The band lineup for the debut Bash will include Forecastle alum, A Lion Named Roar, along with House Ghost, In Lighting and Jenna Dean.

“This will be a special night of celebrating and enjoying some of our strong local music talent while helping raise funds for the great work and new initiatives that Brightside will be focusing on in making neighborhoods cleaner and greener and helping our citizens adopt more sustainable practices.

Tickets are now on sale. General admission is $10 and $40 for VIP. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door. The VIP ticket includes access to an exclusive VIP area, food, and two drink tickets. Tickets can be purchased online, by phone at (800) 514-3849, or at the Headliners box office, Mon.-Fri. 2:00-6:00pm.
