District 25 Update - Councilman David Yates

Dear Neighbors,

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for our area beginning December 5th at 10:00pm and will last until December 7th at 1:00am.  Tonight and tomorrow snow and sleet will accumulate.

Please take special care when traveling during these dangerous weather conditions.  Please stress to our youth the importance of safe driving practices especially during inclement weather.  Please give yourself ample time for travel to and from work.  Those that can stay off the roads please remain safe at home.

As Winter approaches and the potential for unpredictable weather increases please keep your families safe by keeping reserves of essentials such as food and water as well as blankets, radios, batteries and flashlights.

Adopt-A-Pet of the Week

shadow

Shadow is a great Labrador retriever who is looking for his forever home. Shadow is an older guy but has bundles of energy. He would love a forever home with a fenced yard just to play in.  He is definitely an indoor dog. Shadow is seriously searching for his forever home, could you be the perfect match for him? Shadow is neutered and current on all shots.

You can visit Shadow at the Animal House Adoption Center, 3516 Newburg Road or contact LMAS at (502) 473-PETS (7387) for more information. Check out Shadow’s friends:  louisvilleky.gov/animalservices

sasha

Why Sasha has not been adopted is a mystery! There's absolutely nothing wrong with this elegant cat. Sasha looks like a postcard! Her heart is warm and flowing. She exhibits the kind of affection you might associate with a cat who would be the first to find a happy home! Yet, she just hasn't been picked. Are you ready to provide a second chance?

You can visit Sasha at the Animal House Adoption Center, 3516 Newburg Road or contact LMAS at (502) 473-PETS (7387) for more information.
