 WYANDOTTE PARK MASTER PLAN!
The Wyandotte Park Master Plan Implementation continues! To date, a new splash park has been added, the old pool was removed and area restored, a new walking path goes around the entire park and this fall new trees will help buffer the park from the traffic on Taylor Boulevard and the basketball court will be resurfaced.
The trees are courtesy of LG&E. Last year Councilwoman Butler and Metro Parks wrote a grant application for trees from LG&E. The grant calls for matching funds and the Councilwoman got those funds allocated in the budget. By the end of this fall, 2013, over $10,000 worth of trees will have been planted.
Next step is the design for the parking lots throughout the park. As you may recall, relocating some of the activity centers in the park calls for a redesign of the parking.
