You are invited to attend a listening session with Clifford Rosenthal, Assistant Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Office of Financial Empowerment on Friday, March 8th. The CFPB’s Office of Financial Empowerment is planning a number of these listening sessions around the country to hear about innovative efforts taking place to increase financial capability for low-income and economically vulnerable consumers. Louisville agencies that are working to incorporate financial empowerment strategies such as banking access, financial education, and asset building opportunities into the delivery of services are invited to speak about their efforts at one of two sessions.
Community-based organizations are invited to speak about their efforts at the morning session, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Metro United Way (334 E. Broadway, Louisville, KY 40202). Financial institution representatives are invited to the afternoon session, which will take place from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Louisville Urban League (1535 W. Broadway, Louisville, KY 40203).
Please RSVP as soon as possible to Caitlin Willenbrink at caitlin.willenbrink@louisvilleky.gov or 502.574.1969. Space is limited to 25 attendees at each session; each agency may send one representative. We look forward to seeing you on Friday, March 8th.
