As
mentioned in yesterday's e-mail, the State Personnel Department is in constant
contact with Anthem to provide updated information to employees on the
information breach.
This afternoon, Anthem sent a news release to the State Personnel Department about "phishing" scams that have surfaced. These emails are designed to appear as if they are from Anthem and include a “click here” link for credit monitoring. The emails are NOT from Anthem. Also, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Indiana is not calling members regarding the cyber-attack and is
not asking for credit card information or social security numbers over the phone.
