 Individual artists in selected performance disciplines of dance, literature, music, theatre, and folk arts related to these disciplines have until February 6, 2015 to complete their application for career development grants.
Artists with disabilities are encouraged to apply for projects related to the eligible disciplines either through the discipline directly or through the access category.
Application guidelines and the online grant application system are currently accessible on the Arts Commission website.

 Just when you thought you knew everything about Indiana's Poet Laureate George Kalamaras, along comes an online publication dedicated to the Blues that adds to his source of inspiration.
In an interview posted online by Blues GR, Kalamaris shared with writer Michalis Limnios his interest in the Blues and Jazz, Andre Breton, Charles Mingus and Yogananda.

 Three libraries across the state are each receiving a $2,500 grant, thanks to the 2014 Eugene & Marilyn Glick Indiana Authors Award winners.
The public library grants are in addition to the cash prizes awarded to the winners. Since the award's inception, more than $47,500 has been awarded to libraries from the Indianapolis Public Library Foundation, in conjunction with The Glick Fund.
The 2014 library grant recipients were Monroe County Public Library, selected by National Author winner Michael Shelden; the Jasper Public Library, selected by Regional Author winner Norbert Krapf; and the Muncie Public Library, selected by Emerging Author winner Kelsey Timmerman.
Nominations for the 2015 Indiana Authors Award will open February 2, 2015.

As part of the Tribune Building Project, Incourage Community Foundation is announcing an open competition for up to $300,000 in art installations. This opportunity, located in rural central Wisconsin, is supported by receipt of a Creative Placemaking grant from ArtPlace America. Incourage is seeking a wide variety of art for permanent installation, including by not limited to: landscape, graphic design, murals, 2-D and 3-D works connected to telling the community's story. This unique artist residency, in partnership with the National Park Service and Parks Canada, is a chance to hike historic Chilkoot Trail from Alaska into Canada and make art. Call for Entries, Recycled Art Show, Valparaiso, IN
Calling all creatives! The Recycling & Waste Reduction District of Porter County is seeking entries into the inaugural Re-Think Art Competition and Exhibition. Anyone aged 15 and older is invited to submit works of art made from 100% recycled materials to compete in a juried exhibition across northwest Indiana March 22 through April 16. Artists may enter up to three pieces in one of two categories: Youth, aged 15 - 18; and Adult, aged 19 and over. 17th Annual Art on the Streets, Colorado Springs, CO
Visual artists are invited to apply for inclusion in the 17th annual Art in the Streets juried sculpture exhibition. Art on the Streets celebrated the power of art in public places, while turning the streets of downtown Colorado Springs into a yearlong outdoor sculpture gallery. 2015 Endangered Species Youth Art Contest
This nationwide contest is organized by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, the Endangered Species Coalition, the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, and the International Child Art Foundation. The contest is open to students (K-12) with an opportunity to learn about endangered species and express their knowledge and support through artwork. Artist Fellowships, Arts Council of Indianapolis

Permanent Art Collection Curator, Indiana State University, Terre Haute, IN
Indiana State University's Cunningham Memorial Library seeks a Permanent Collection Curator. This professional position is responsible for the stewardship, documentation and research, development and care of ISU's permanent collection primarily comprised of prints, ceramics and paintings.
