Arts Operating Support deadline announced by Arts Commission

iac logo

Organizations intending to apply for Arts Operating Support (AOS I, II, III) for Fiscal Year 2016 have until 4:30 p.m. (EST) January 9, 2014 to complete the required online notice of intent form.

The form can be found at http://tinyurl.com/167m527.

The notice of intent to apply form reflects revised eligibility guidelines for operating support grants which require "providing arts activities or services" as a primary mission, purpose, and focus of the applicant organization.

Examples of qualifying organizations would be arts producing, arts promoting, arts presenting, artist services, or arts teaching organizations. Organizations must be a private, nonprofit, tax-exempt status 501 (c) (3), or an Indiana public entity (part of a city or county government).

Guidelines for Arts Operating Support grants can be found on the IAC website. Guidelines for organizations applying for AOS III grants, or those organizations in Region 7 (Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, and Shelby counties) should consult directly with IAC staff Becca Hopson rhopson@iac.in.gov.

Arts Commission releases biennial report on arts impact in Indiana

biennial report cover

The Indiana Arts Commission recently unveiled its 2013-2014 biennial report.

The electronic publication, downloadable from the IAC website, provides an overview of the agency's programs, grants and services; investment and impact of public funding for the arts on the state level; a regional breakdown of grants and services; and a county by county listing of grants awarded over the last two years.

"Our Regional Arts Partners contributed dozens of great images showing the impact of arts programming at the local level," said IAC Executive Director Lewis C. Ricci. "The photos the reader will see in the back half of the report represent the work of artists who have received grants from our Individual Artists Program."
