The Indiana State Library, in partnership with Net Literacy, offers free, rebuilt public access computers to any public or institutional library in Indiana.
In the past, these refurbished computers have included Windows 7, a minimum of 1GB ram, 40GB or larger hard drives, Ethernet cards, antivirus software, and are internet-ready. Flat screen monitors are also available. Quantities are limited and priority will be given to recipients that can arrange to pick up their computers at the Indiana State Library.
Computers are typically offered twice per year. Watch the INPubLib listserv and Wednesday Word for announcements.
Please visit Net Literacy’s website to learn more about the organization and their efforts to improve digital literacy nationwide.
