Community and Urban Forestry (CUF)


CUF is pleased to announce the 2014 Request for Proposals (RFP) for our Urban Tree Recovery and Environmental Enhancement (U-TREE) Grant Program. 

CUF is now accepting applications for competitive funding. Details about this funding opportunity are provided in the attached CUF Grant Information RFP. The submission deadline is Friday, August 25, 2014. All applications must be postmarked by that date to be eligible for consideration.

The objective of this funding opportunity is to inventory, plan, evaluate, and plant trees and must meet the goal(s) related to healthy trees and communities. Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and tribal and local governments.

Approximately $120,000 is expected to be available for grant awards in 2014. Individual awards will range from $2,000 - $20,000.

CUF will host a webinar on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Webinar participants will learn about funding priorities and the application process, receive tips for submitting competitive proposals, and have the opportunity to ask questions. The webinar will begin at 10:00 AM EST and last for approximately 1 1/2 hours. 

The Indiana DNR CUF Program and the US Forest Service sponsor the U-TREE Grant Program.
