Another Great Indiana State Fair

Thank you to everyone that stopped in at the Indiana State Fair to chat with us and restore the "Iron Brigade Commander" State Historical Marker on Hoosier Heritage Day!

You can stay connected with IHB and the Marker program in a few easy ways:

  • Follow IHB on Facebook for Indiana history moments, news about the marker program, and great history-inspired things going on around the state.
  • Participate in the Marker Hunt and/or help repair Indiana State Historical Markers.
  • Learn more about Indiana history, research tools, and markers on our blog at MarkingHoosierHistory.org.
  • Download great free resources for educators and the general public on our website.
  • Add books to your Indiana history shelf or get unique Indiana-made gifts in the IHB Book Shop.

We're doing touch-ups on the "Iron Brigade Commander" marker now and will have it back in Cambridge City in time for the dedication of a new marker, "Virginia Claypool Meredith," in mid-September.
