Indiana's Emma Libersky Competes in National Poetry Out Loud Competition

Plymouth High School Junior, and Indiana State Poetry Out Loud Champion Emma Libersky (right), recently competed in the national competition in Washington, D.C.

Libersky, the first person to repeat as Indiana State Champion in successive years, recited "Mending Wall" by Robert Frost, and "To Autumn" by John Keats in the semi-final round on April 29. She unfortunately did not have the opportunity to recite her third prepared selection, "Dirge Without Music" by Edna St. Vincent Millay since she did not advance to the final rounds.

We hope to see Emma as a contestant again next year when both our state and national events celebrate their 10th anniversary.
