I am writing to inform you that the 2014 Intent to Apply form for a new state historical marker is now available online at http://www.in.gov/history/3926.htm. The submission deadline for this form is Wednesday, April 30, 2014.
As mentioned in previous correspondence, the marker application process is very competitive, with only a fraction of marker topics being selected for casting each year. Marker applications are weighed against the program's priorities and against the pool of applications received, and the number of markers selected varies depending on the quality of applications and the depth of research required.
