ICRC, Indianapolis Indians holding Student Essay Contest
In celebration of the Fourth Annual Civil Rights Game on Friday, August 14, 2015 at Victory Field, The Indiana Civil Rights Commission (ICRC) and the Indianapolis Indians announced that they will, once again, be hosting a Student Essay Contest for all Indiana elementary school students. Bluffington Properties Charged with Discrimination by ICRC Complainant applied to rent a two-bedroom apartment from Respondent in November 2014. At all times relevant to the Complaint, Respondent’s policies and procedures required applicants to submit to background and credit checks. ICRC E.D. Issues Charge Against Troy Manor Cooperative
Complainants resided in Respondent’s cooperative housing community for approximately 25 years and were participants in the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. In 2009, during the course of their tenancy with Respondent, Complainant 1 (husband) sustained a head injury that affected his mobility and balance. Further, Complainant 2 (wife) suffers from circulation issues. Nonetheless, Complainants’ condition is sufficiently severe that the family receives SSI income. .. more
