2016 Rental Housing Tax Credits Announced

At the February 25th Board of Directors Meeting, the Real Estate Department presented their recommendations for the 2016 RHTC Awards. 18 projects were selected for a combined $14.3 million in RHTC and $5.7 million in IHCDA funding will provide over 800 additional units of affordable housing options for residents throughout Indiana...more.

South Bend

South Bend Permanent Supportive Housing awarded PBV units

At the February 25th Board of Directors meeting the board approved the allocation of 32 one-bedroom project-based voucher  (PBV) units for South Bend Permanent Supportive Housing. South Bend participated in the 2015 Indiana Permanent Supportive Housing Institute.

Indiana to receive additional HHF Funds

The Department of Treasury recently announced that we will receive an additional $28.5 million in Hardest Hit Fund (HHF) funding. The program has also been extended to December 31, 2020. Since the program started in 2010, the HHF through the Indiana Foreclosure Prevention Network (IFPN) here at IHCDA has provided more than $94 million in assistance to nearly 7,000 Hoosier homeowners.

Disability Awareness Month

March is Disability Awareness Month in Indiana

Each March, Disability Awareness Month is celebrated throughout Indiana. Adults and children with disabilities represent slightly more than 19 percent of Indiana’s population. Led by the Indiana Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities, the goal of Disability Awareness Month is to increase awareness and promote independence, integration and inclusion of all people with disabilities.
