North Avenue to Close for Railroad Crossing Repair

Antioch, IL- The Canadian National Railroad has informed the Lake County Division of Transportation of its intention to close the railroad crossing on North Avenue, Lake County Route A-2, for necessary repairs. The closure of the crossing will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 6. North Avenue will reopen to thru traffic at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 12.

Detour route: IL Rte 83, to IL Rte 173, to Deep Lake Road. Local traffic will be allowed from IL Rte 83 to the crossing and from the crossing to Deep Lake Road.
