Public Information Meeting for IL Rte. 137 Bike Path Study


The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) is hosting a Public Information Meeting for the study of a bike path along the IL Rte. 137 corridor. The limits of the project are between the Des Plaines River (Independence Grove Forest Preserve) and Sheridan Road connecting Libertyville, Green Oaks, Waukegan, and North Chicago. This study will take a look at a possible east/west connection between the Des Plaines River Trail and the Robert McClory Bikepath. 

The purpose of the meeting is to introduce the project and schedule, and to seek public input and comments regarding the project and potential bike path alignments.   

Date:        Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015
Time:        6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Location:    Independence Grove Forest Preserve, 16400 West Buckley Road, Libertyville

The meeting will be conducted in an informal, open house format and interested persons may visit anytime between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to review exhibits, provide comments, and ask questions of the LCDOT staff and other project representatives.
