Goldfish Swim School, a 10,000-square-foot aquatic facility, is now under construction at 2008 Dempster St., with an expected opening later this spring. Goldfish will offer swim classes and programs for children of all ages and levels, open swim times for families, weekend birthday parties and more. As a reminder, the City will host an open house public meeting tonight, Wednesday, February 11, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Hilton Garden Inn Chicago North Shore/Evanston, to present thematic landscape options for the viaduct enhancement at Emerson St., Ridge Ave. and Green Bay Rd. On February 5, the Evanston Animal Shelter announced its new partnership with Merrick Pet Care to feed animals in the shelter while they await their forever homes. In addition to providing quality food to the shelter at a discounted rate, which includes free delivery and the opportunity to receive free orders periodically throughout the year, Merrick will provide each forever family with a coupon to receive a free small bag of Merrick food.
