Some Evanston Wheel Tax Renewal Forms Will Be Resent to Correct Processing Error
Approximately 3,900 Evanston wheel tax renewal forms will be
resent to affected residents after a processing error caused some forms to be
improperly prepared with incorrect addresses.
Some
residents may have received a renewal form at their address with an incorrect
name in addition to receiving correct forms. Others have not yet received a
form.
All
affected residents will receive a notice along with a corrected 2015 Wheel Tax
renewal form in the mail during the week of November 3, and should use the updated
application to complete the renewal process. The deadline to pay the wheel tax
is Monday, December 15, 2014.
Those
who have already paid their 2015 Wheel Tax do not need to take any action.
However, for questions or concerns, residents may contact the City Collector’s
