LENA Start: The Library in partnership with the District 65 Family Center presents "LENA Start," a 10-week program that uses research-backed methods to encourage early talk in children. Art Call: We're looking for Evanston-based emerging artists, musicians, and creatives, especially individuals from historically marginalized identities, for our 2021 exhibition schedule. Help us support local arts and culture by showcasing your work at the Main Library and the Robert Crown Library branch. Work inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic, social isolation, the revolution surrounding black lives, police brutality, and other time-sensitive work is encouraged, as are artists who have never exhibited previously. Twisted Fiber: Upcycled Valentine's Day Cards: Learn how to upcycle old books into beautiful Valentine's Day cards. Craft kits will be available at the Robert Crown Library Branch for those registered on a first come first serve basis. Evanston Care Network. This new, online hub offers a wide variety of social assistance resources. More than 5700 individuals have used the service since May, conducting more 9000 different searches for resources like food, housing, and childcare. Need help?
