Theatre in the Time of a Pandemic. A Mini-Course: Join this free, non-credit course taught by Professor Emerita of African American Studies and Theatre Sandra L. Richards, presented in partnership with the Northwestern Emeriti Organization. How Do I Know I'm OK? The Impact of the Pandemic within Black and Brown Communities. This program sets the stage for other conversations by bringing the voices of two members of our community, Delores and Janet, together to discuss their own personal experience with the profound life adjustments brought on by the pandemic. 2020 Best Picture Books Presentation: Join Betsy Bird and Brian Wilson for their annual exploration of the best in children's books. The Library has formed the Collection Advisory Committee, a group created to ensure the collections of the Library are more accessible and equitable for all. The group, formed with Collection Development Manager Elizabeth Bird, is possibly the first of its kind among public libraries and will aid in the acquisition of materials for Evanston's Black community.
