5. Post Pregnancy Mental Wellness: What To Expect and How to Cope. Come learn how to take care of yourself while caring for your baby. Coming November 8. Documentary screening: Won't You Be My Neighbor, a film about Fred Rogers (Mr.Rogers). With a short introduction by Rainbows for All Children at 7 PM, guests will learn about the long-term effects of trauma, grief and loss on children, and the impact of Fred Rogers’ revolutionary understanding of children. A Q&A will be available afterward for those who choose to participate. Register. Space is limited.

Graphic Novel Book Club. This month we will be discussing Deb Lucke's kooky and creepy graphic novel, The Lunch Witch. Stop by the children's desk to pick up a copy to read beforehand. Registration required. Must be an Evanston resident or attend school in District 65 to participate. Wednesday, October 17, 7-8 pm; Saturday, October 20, 1-2 pm 

Creating Cityscapes: A Painting and Printmaking Workshop for Kids (Grades K-2). In this fun, one-hour workshop, K - 2 students will create original artwork through painting and basic printmaking techniques. Friday, October 19, 3:30 - 4:30 pm. Barbara Friedberg Storytelling Room. Main Library. Please register. 

Me…Jane Party! A Jane Goodall celebration for kids with NU’s Purple Crayon Players. Come celebrate Jane Goodall, the groundbreaking scientist who taught us about chimpanzees. Friday October 26, 4 pm. Children’s Room, Main Library

Charlie Brown Party. Come meet Charlie Brown! Bring the whole family to watch a scene from Imagine U’s upcoming play, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown! Then we’ll do some Charlie Brown crafts. Saturday, October 27, 10 am. Main Children’s Room, Main Library
