World Arts & Music Festival July 21-22

Enjoy international cuisine, live music, family craft activities and art from around the globe at the World Arts and Music Festival at Arrington Lakefront Lagoon at Dawes Park on Sat., July 21 and Sun., July 22, noon to 7 p.m. Admission is free! Note: Snapchat users can share their experience using the special World Arts and Music Festival filter available at the event.

Starlight Concert at Mason Park July 24

"Tukkiman" will perform his unique mix of Afro-Beat, World, Hip-Hop, Reggae and English Pop on Tues., July 24 at Mason Park as part of the Starlight Concert series! Interactive family activities begin at 6 p.m.; music begins at 7 p.m.

Local Employment Job Fair July 26

Union trade Evanston residents interested in working on the new Robert Crown Community Center, Ice Complex & Library as a part of the City’s Local Employment Program should attend the Job Fair on Thurs., July 26, 4 to 8 p.m., at the Center's current location, 1701 Main St. For more information and to RSVP, please contact Peter Kuhn at pkuhn@Bulley.com.

'Topdog/Underdog' On Stage through July 29

"Topdog/Underdog," the second play of Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre's 2018 Summertime Season, will take the stage this weekend at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center! The 2002 Pulitzer Prize-winner will be performed Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. through July 29.

Evanston Women's History Walking Tour 7/21

Explore the revolutionary history of Evanston’s women on Sat., July 21. The 90-minute tour begins at the Frances Willard House, 1730 Chicago Ave. at 11 a.m. The walk is in partnership with the Evanston Women’s History Project. Fee: $20.

Thursday Night Live 7/19

"The Joyce Renee Band" will perform jazz, classic oldies and Motown music as part of Downtown Evanston's Thursday Night Live series tonight, Thurs., July 19, 7 p.m., at the north plaza of the newly renovated Fountain Square.

Open House Chicago Seeks Volunteers 10/13-10/14

The Chicago Architecture Foundation (CFA) is looking for volunteers to greet and count visitors at local Open House Chicago sites on Sat., Oct. 13 and Sun., Oct. 14. The free tours showcase Evanston's architectural treasures.

What's Your 'Water IQ'?

Do you know that from mid-May to mid-September, lawn watering is not permitted between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.? Outside those hours, watering is allowed for odd numbered addresses on odd numbered dates and for even numbered addresses on even numbered dates. Garden watering is exempted.
