Spring Ice Show this Weekend
Robert Crown Center's Spring Ice Show, "Mystery on Main St.," takes the ice this weekend, with performances on Fri., May 4 at 7 p.m., Sat., May 5 at 7 p.m., and Sun., May 6 at 3 p.m. General admission tickets are available for $9 online.

Senior Motown Party May 19
In celebration of Older Americans Month, Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center will be transformed into an old school blue light basement party on Sat., May 19, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.! Put on your fanciest 60s gear and enjoy the evening dancing, playing roulette, black jack, bingo and bid whist. Support programming at the Evanston Ecology Center at "Nature's Night Out" on Fri., May 18! The event will feature music, raffle prizes, and the best local food and craft beer offerings.
Discounted Beach Tokens Through June 8
The beach season is set to begin on Sat. May 26! A beach token, also known as a season pass, is valid from the time of purchase through Labor Day, Mon., Sept. 3. Tokens will be sold at a discounted rate of $26 for Evanston and Skokie residents and $42 for nonresidents through Fri., June 8. On Sat., June 9, the price for a beach token will increase to $34 for Evanston and Skokie residents and $58 for nonresidents.
Summer F.A.A.M Basketball League
In this league at the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, participants ages 8 to 10 years old will be placed on team. Once the teams have been set, teams will be assigned a practice day and games will take place on Saturday mornings. Get your game face on and prepare for a summer of friendly competition! Special Olympics Health Ambassadors
Two of Evanston Special Recreation’s Special Olympics Health Ambassadors, Courtney Krueger and Lauren Miller, helped staff from the Illinois Farm Bureau in Bloomington, IL kick off their Walking Wednesdays program! Despite the heat in Bloomington, everyone was greatly inspired by the speeches given by Courtney and Lauren. Huge thanks to Special Olympics Illinois for inviting our athletes to encourage others to live healthy lifestyles!
