City Seeks Input on Street Lighting Levels

Tallmadge light

The City of Evanston is evaluating options for maintaining its existing streetlight system and is seeking public input on future lighting levels desired for new development and major public works projects. The City is committed to keeping the existing Tallmadge lighting system and has no plans to replace Tallmadge lights with standard roadway-type poles.

Community members are encouraged to provide their input by completing the City’s survey, at surveymonkey.com/r/streetlightplan, by Sunday, May 6. The survey is also available by phone by calling 3-1-1, or in print at the Morton Civic Center’s lobby information desk, the main Evanston Public Library, Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, Robert Crown Center, Levy Center, and the Chandler-Newberger Center.
