Evanston youth age 14 to 18 years are encouraged to find their perfect summer job at Mayor Hagerty's Summer Youth Employment Program (MSYEP) Job Fair on Sat., March 3, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at ETHS. More than 40 employers providing summer and year-round employment will be present.

Le Tour de Noir this Saturday

Join the Black Business Consortium of Evanston/Northshore (BBCENS) for Le Tour de Noir this Sat., Feb. 24 at the Levy Center! From 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., enjoy a bus tour of Black-owned Evanston businesses located in all nine wards of the city. Then, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., stop by the Levy Center for a Business Expo and Market Place. The cost is $20 for the Bus Tour and Expo; be sure to reserve your seat. Admission to the Expo only is $5, payable at the door.

Street Cleaning Begins March 1

The City’s Public Works Agency will begin 2018 street cleaning operations on Thurs., March 1, weather permitting. Parking signage posted at the beginning and end of each block indicates the specific days and times that parking restrictions will be in place on each street (i.e. First Thursday of the Month, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.).
