EVANSTON, ILLINOIS - Amateur chefs from the Evanston Fire Department will show off their cooking skills at the Downtown Evanston Farmers’ Market using fresh market items on Saturday, August 22, from 10 a.m. to noon. The demonstration will take place right next to the City of Evanston tent, located at University Pl. at Oak Ave. Market-goers will get the opportunity to taste the chefs’ delicious dishes after the cooking demonstration and will learn how to incorporate these recipes right in their own kitchen.

The event is free, but donations will be accepted to help support the Market’s Spud Club, an educational, fun program for children.
