EVANSTON, ILLINOIS - On Tuesday, July 7, at 5 p.m., community members are invited to witness police officers from the Evanston Police Department (EPD) and Chicago’s 24th Police District, Rogers Park Station, in a public joint roll call on the southeast corner of Howard St. and Damen Ave., otherwise known as Custer Ave. in Evanston.

During the roll call, information will be exchanged between both departments to update officers on issues and locations in both jurisdictions that need police attention. The EPD conducts outdoor roll calls at various times and locations that require a higher police presence throughout the warmer months. This allows the public a chance to see how police are briefed on issues and community concerns specific to their neighborhoods.

There has been an excellent working relationship between the Chicago Police Department and the EPD to address concerns on both sides of the Howard St. corridor, which separates the cities. For more information, please contact EPD Commander Joe Dugan at 847-866-5054.
