VOLUNTEER FOR JAKES DAY THIS SATURDAY, MAY 11
Take advantage of a great volunteer opportunity: The 17th annual JAKES Day this Saturday, May 11 at the Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center in Mansfield, Ga. This free, fun-filled outdoor event is geared for the whole family, and includes archery, fishing, shooting sports, live animals and a mini boat ride led by DNR conservation rangers.
The event kicks off at 10 a.m., but volunteers are needed earlier to help with setting up and parking. During the event, volunteers will be asked to help out with various outdoor activities, face painting, serving lunches and packing up after the event is over.
Do you want to volunteer at this year's JAKES Day or have any questions? Contact Georgia DNR volunteer coordinator Michael Sellers at (706) 557-3101 or email at michael.sellers@dnr.state.ga.us.
