License Initiative Moving Forward!

With approval from the Governor's Office, we are moving forward with our initiative to simplify license purchase decisions and raise the price of fishing and hunting licenses for the first time in 23 years.

Sportsmen's and Coastal Day at the Capitol

January 14th starting at 8:30 til after lunch you have the opportunity to meet Georgia Legislators at the Capitol before Legislative Session! This annual event allows pro sportsmen and coastal groups a place to celebrate our natural resources and advocate for protection and promotion. See what happened last year!

Pure Fishing’s Parent Company Merging with Rubbermaid

The Wall Street Journal has reported that Jarden Corp., the parent company of fishing industry giant Pure Fishing, is merging with Georgia based Newell Rubbermaid, the makers of Sharpie and Rubbermaid food containers.

New Spotted Seatrout Regulations 

Board members unanimously approved the increase of the minimum-size regulation for spotted seatrout from 13 inches to 14 inches, total length with an effective date of January 1, 2016. 

New Georgia Recruitment, Retention and Reactivation Coordinator
