Data Call Overview
Effective January 1, 2025, the PMIR data call will replace the QUASR data call. In accordance with section 624.424(10), Florida Statutes, all insurers licensed in Florida writing personal residential and commercial residential lines of insurance are required to submit monthly PMIR reports to OIR, beginning with January 2025 data.
Please note: The final QUASR data call reporting the 4th quarter of 2024 data is still due March 1, 2025.
The PMIR template, Form OIR-D0-1185, requires the following data for each Florida zip code:
- Total number of policies in force at the end of each month;
- Total number of policies canceled;
- Total number of policies nonrenewed;
- Number of policies canceled due to hurricane risk;
- Number of policies nonrenewed due to hurricane risk;
- Number of new policies written;
- Total dollar value of structure exposure under policies that include wind coverage;
- Number of policies that exclude wind coverage;
- Number of claims open each month;
- Number of claims closed each month;
- Number of claims pending each month; and
- Number of claims in which either the insurer or insured invoked any form of alternative dispute resolution, and specifying which form of alternative dispute resolution was used.
The PMIR template requires insurers to respond to the following: “Treatment of current filing over last month’s filing?” This field is defaulted to “Continual DATA reporting.” If the insurer DID NOT file a DATA report in the IMMEDIATE PREVIOUS MONTH, change this response to “New DATA Reporting." Due to the new monthly reporting requirement, insurers must select “New DATA reporting” within the January 2025 template, then select “Continual DATA reporting” in subsequent filings.
These fields will be required for this reporting deadline and all future reporting.
