Two more barracuda workshops scheduled this week
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is hosting two public workshops this week to gather public input on barracuda. These workshops are in response to requests and concerns from the public.
At the workshops, staff will gather public input on potential regulation changes such as commercial and recreational bag limits, size limits, gear restrictions, region-specific regulations or other related management options for barracuda. These workshops are scheduled for the following locations (both are from 6 to 8 p.m. EST):
- March 3: Dania Beach, International Game Fish Association Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum, 300 Gulf Stream Way
- March 5: Statewide webinar and telephone conference; Webinar: Http://fwc.adobeconnect.com/mfm ; Voice-only access: Contact Marine@MyFWC.com or 850-487-0554 in advance of the workshop.
For more information, visit MyFWC.com/Fishing and click on “Saltwater Fishing,” “Rulemaking” and “Upcoming Public Workshops.” While on that page, people will find more information on how to participate in the webinar. People wanting more information may also call 850-487-0554.
