CELEBRATE EARTH DAY WITH DEP’S NORTHWEST DISTRICT POSTER CONTEST
~Posters to reflect one of the many ways to protect Florida's environment~
PENSACOLA – The Florida
Department of Environmental Protection’s Northwest District invites Escambia and Santa Rosa County fourth
and fifth grade students to celebrate Earth Day by competing in an Earth Day
Poster Contest.
Judges from
DEP will select a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner from each county. Winning
posters will be displayed on the Northwest District’s website during the month
of May and will be shared on the department’s social media accounts. Winners
will receive a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place certificate, and a free pass to visit one
of Florida’s award-winning state parks.
Posters should reflect the importance of
protecting Florida’s beautiful environment: air, water, land and ecosystems. Posters
must represent one or more Earth-friendly themes. All contest entries will be
on display at the Northwest District office from April 20 –30.
