GTM RESEARCH RESERVE HOSTS STATE OF THE RESERVE:
SCIENCE TO MANAGEMENT
~An overview of the year's accomplishments in education, research and stewardship~
PONTE VEDRA BEACH -
The Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve will host the
State of the Reserve: Science to Management on Friday, Feb. 6 at the
Environmental Education Center in Ponte Vedra Beach.
"This event offers us an opportunity to communicate the scope of the work
being done within the reserve," said
Michael Shirley, director of the GTM Research Reserve. "We will discuss what is being done in our area to address
management issues, using science, and how those developments can lead to more
informed decision-making practices."
A poster session and a reception, co-hosted by the Friends of the GTM Research Reserve and Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, will be held immediately following the symposium.
