BEGINNING BIRDERS WORKSHOPS OFFERED
AT ROOKERY BAY

~'Wing It!' workshops provide identification tips and field experience~

NAPLES – Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve is hosting several “Wing It!” beginning birders workshops this winter and spring. The program will introduce participants to the basics of birding including the use of plumage, flight patterns, behavior, binoculars, field guides and other tools in field identification. The classroom session will be followed by a field trip to a nearby park to practice new skills. 

Registration is required as space is limited to 20 students. The cost for the public to attend is $30 and $25 for Friends of Rookery Bay members.

The workshops will take place from 8 a.m. to noon on Jan. 10, Feb. 14, March 21 and April 11. They will be held at the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center (300 Tower Rd.; Naples, FL 34113).
